The mission of the Breast Screening Source of York County is to provide financial assistance to the uninsured and underinsured women living in York, Lancaster and Chester counties for mammograms and other diagnostic screenings involved in the diagnosis of breast cancer.
We are dedicated to serving the needs of the women in our community each and every day. Everyone involved in this organization wants all women to be able to be healthy and have all the opportunities for excellent healthcare.
In 2012-2013, the Breast Screening Source of York County was awarded a grant from the Charlotte Affiliate of Susan G. Komen www.komencharlotte.org. This partnership allowed The Breast Screening Source of York County to provide free screening mammograms to the uninsured or underserved in our community.
The Fort Mill Rotary honored us in December 2012 with a grant to help in our mission of providing financial assistance to uninsured women. Each dollar that is awarded will be used for screening and diagnostic mammograms.
In Spring 2013, the Breast Screening Source of York County received funding from the Junior Welfare League of Rock Hill www.juniorwelfareleague.com to help education and provide screening and diagnostic mammograms to women in York County. Because of these partnerships, we can help detect breast cancer in the community in its earliest stages, ultimately saving lives.
